Impairment suspected in crash that bounced four wheeler between semi trucks

One person is dead after a crash involving two semi trucks and a four wheeler in Phoenix on Thursday morning. 

The accident happened on October 27th just before 2 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 10 near 67th Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona.

According to ABC 15, a semi truck rear ended a car on I-10, sending the car skidding into another semi truck and trapping the driver inside. The car then caught fire. 

The motorist was fatally injured in the flames, and died of those injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

The driver of the first semi truck was arrested and investigators suspect they were impaired at the time of the crash. 

The crash led to lengthy delays during the morning commute, but has since been cleared.
