An Indiana highway is expected to remain closed for an “undetermined” amount of time after a semi truck plowed into multiple cars on Tuesday morning.
The accident happened on May 10th at around 7:15 a.m. in Johnson County.
According to WRTV, the semi truck was traveling along State Road 37 near Smith Valley Road when it smashed into several cars, leaving a pickup truck balancing on top of another vehicle.
Three people were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment following the wreck, and at least one of these people is in serious condition. No further injuries have been reported.
Northbound traffic on State Road 37 is shut down as far south as State Road 144. Southbound traffic is also backed up. The northbound lanes are expected to remain closed for an “undetermined” amount of time.
