Indiana State Police investigating shooting at I-70 rest stop

Indiana State Police (ISP) have confirmed that one person was shot at an interstate rest stop on Friday morning.

ISP’s Sgt. John Perrine has confirmed that a person was shot at a rest area located off of eastbound I-70 at mile marker 64 near Plainfield in Hendricks County, Indiana.

The person was transported to a nearby hospital. Their current condition is unknown.

ISP says that a suspect is in custody.

Deputies with the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.
