Certain vehicles will not be permitted to travel on the Indiana Toll Road starting on Thursday due to an impending winter storm.
Starting on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 5 p.m. (EST) through until Saturday, December 24, 2022 at midnight, a winter weather travel ban will be in place on the Indiana Toll Road for the following vehicle types:
- ALL triple tractor-trailers
- ALL doubles (long & small pups)
- High-profile oversize permit loads
The travel ban will be in effect from the Illinois line up to and including the Ohio line at mile marker 156.9.
Additionally, oversized or overweight vehicles cannot exit at LaPorte Plaza (mile marker 49).
