The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is investigating after a truck driver was found deceased at a welcome center over the weekend.
According to an FHP news release, troopers responded to the Escambia County Welcome Center off I-10 around 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 12.
When police arrived on scene, they discovered a 40 year old truck driver deceased in the cab of his vehicle parked at the welcome center.
FHP says that the man’s next of kin have been notified but they did not release his identity.
The cause of death is still under investigation.
