The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) shared dramatic traffic camera video of a semi truck’s wild ride on an icy roadway last week.
The video was captured on I-80 at mile marker 192 in the Des Moines area on December 15.
In the video, you can see that the sliding semi truck nearly clips a pickup truck in the median with its trailer as the driver loses control and leaves the roadway.
Statewide, the Iowa State Patrol responded to 105 crashes on December 15 amid snowy weather conditions.
