A motorist was taken to the hospital after a large log came through their windshield as a log truck attempted a turn.
The accident happened at around 8 a.m. on Wednesday, September 21st in Angelina County, Texas.
According to KSLA 12 News, a semi truck hauling logs was heading north Highway 69 at the intersection Farm-to-Market Road 326 when it began to make a right turn. The turn caused the logs to swing out and enter another lane, and a 2014 Jeep drove into it. The log then came through the Jeep’s windshield, causing the Jeep to spin and pulling the log off the trailer. A 2018 Jeep then collided with the 2014 Jeep.
The 32-year-old 2014 Jeep driver, Kimberly Snider, was transported to a hospital for treatment. The details of her condition are not known. The driver and passenger in the 2018 Jeep were not hurt, and the 46-year-old trucker, Japhia Arline, was also unhurt in the incident. DPS is still investigating the incident.
