Police in Little Rock, Arkansas, are gaining attention on social media for their diminutive police cruisers.
The Arkansas Police Department’s two tiny electric cruisers began garnering national attention after a July 17 Facebook post from the department highlighting a community event called “Chatting with Our Police and Emergency Services Appreciation Day.”
The post featured a couple of photos of the petite patrol vehicles, which garnered tens of thousands of likes and shares, as well as a barrage of jokes in the comment section.
The all-electric vehicles are 8 feet long, 5.3 feet high, and 4 feet wide, and can reach a top speed of 25 m.p.h. The Little Rock Police Department (LRPD) uses the two vehicles on small sidewalks and in areas with heavy foot traffic.
Following the unexpected public interest in the little cruisers, the LRPD followed up with a video showing the vehicles in action. Check it out below.
