Two people were hurt after a trailer came loose from a semi truck, spilling a load of rolling storage racks.
The accident happened just before 12:30 p.m. on Monday, July 25th in Douglas County, Colorado.
According to ABC 7 News, the semi truck was on Interstate 25 south of Ridgegate Parkway when it collided with a four wheeler. The collision caused the trailer to come loose and break open, allowing a load of rolling metal storage racks to roll out onto the highway.
Firefighters had to extricate one person from their wrecked vehicle. That person was transported to a hospital with serious injuries. The truck driver sustained minor injuries.
The southbound lanes of I-25 were were shut down for cleanup until around 3 p.m. They have since been reopened. No further information has been released.
