Man arrested for allegedly running over semi truck driver in road rage incident in Texas

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) has arrested a man in connection with a road rage incident that left a truck driver with major injuries.

The incident occurred on Friday, September 2, on Highway 90 West in San Antonio, Texas.

BCSO described the incident:

Unknown Suspect was driving a 2015 Dodge Ram Dully, light Gray, towing a flatbed trailer carrying a Construction style Skid Loader, pulled out of Grosenbacher Rd, turning right onto HWY 90 West.

The suspect cut off the victim when merging onto HWY 90 West. A disturbance began between the two drivers. Both drivers took the Montgomery exit and a disturbance continued between the two.

The suspect struck the Victim with his trailers, causing serious bodily injury. The suspect did not stop, continued driving, took the turnaround at Montgomery and HWY 90, and continued traveling east bound on HWY 90 West.

The 53 year old truck driver suffered a laceration to the abdomen and a broken leg but was able to get up and call 911.

The incident was captured by the truck driver’s dash cam.

On Saturday, September 3, police recognized the suspect vehicle and pulled over Yudi Samir Aguilar, 30.

Aguilar’s coworkers had reportedly seen media coverage of the incident and recognized the vehicle. The coworkers had allegedly convinced Aguilar to turn himself into police. Aguilar told police he was on his way to turn himself in when he was pulled over.

Aguilar has since been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and failure to stop and render aid causing serious bodily injury.
