A man is dead after jumping off an overpass and into a moving semi truck in Virginia on Thursday morning.
The incident happened on June 2nd at around 6:38 a.m. in Richmond, Virginia.
According to ABC 8 News, the man went over the Powhite Parkway overpass near the Forest Hills exit, landed on the roadway below, and was struck by the moving semi truck. He was pronounced dead on scene.
Police are investigating the scene as a traffic fatality. All lanes of the Powhite Parkway were shut down for a few hours but were reopened by 9:15 a.m. Officials are expected to remain on scene for the next few hours as the investigation continues.
