Michigan State Police (MSP) recently shared a dash cam video as a reminder of the dangers of failing to pay attention behind the wheel.
The crash occurred at 3:45 p.m. on October 20 on W/B M-14 near the US-23 interchange in Ann Arbor Township.
State troopers say that “the silver vehicle failed to stop for congested traffic and rear ended another vehicle that was pushed into the path of a semi truck.”
The crash ultimately involved six vehicles.
Two people were transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
MSP says that the at-fault driver was cited for failing to stop within assured clear distance.
“This video clip is an excellent example of being distracted and speeding while driving,” MSP said.
