Minnesota interstate closed after high winds blow over 9 trucks

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MNDOT) has closed a portion of I-35 after high winds blew over several tractor trailers.

Around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, MNDOT announced that northbound I-35 south of Faribault is closed and detoured.

According to reports, as many as 9 trucks were blown over on northbound I-35.

It isn’t clear whether anyone was injured.

“Plan ahead. Slow down. Watch for emergency responders. I-35 southbound remains open,” MNDOT said.
