Missing girl found after anonymous tip leads officers to trucker’s rig

Published:

A missing girl has been found after an anonymous tip led police officers to a semi truck parked at a farm in Kentucky.

Police received the tip directing them to a commercial farm in Cromwell, Kentucky on June 11th just before 10 p.m.

According to 44 News, the tip claimed that officers would find the girl inside of a semi truck parked at the farm on US 231 South. When deputies arrived, they discovered the girl inside of a truck there with 41-year-old Joseph Lewis.

Authorities determined that Lewis had driven the girl across state lines without parental consent after picking her up somewhere in her home state of Indiana. The two were also determined to have engaged in sexual acts.

Lewis has since been arrested and is facing charges of kidnapping, rape, and sodomy. He is currently being held in the Ohio County Jail without bond. No further information has been released.
