Man arrested with stolen firearm after harassing cattle hauler, semi truck

Published:

A man was arrested earlier this month after pointing a stolen firearm at two truck drivers in Louisiana.

According to My ArkLaMmiss News, police received a BOLO alert on August 18th at 6:54 p.m. in Ouachita Parish reporting a man in a maroon Honda CRV traveling westbound on Interstate 20 at milepost 106 causing trouble with other drivers.

The first caller told police that the CRV pulled in front of their tractor with a loaded cattle trailer and brake checked them multiple times until they were forced to leave the roadway. Another trucker then contacted police reporting a maroon CRV pointing a gun at him through an open passenger side window in the vehicle.

Police later found the CRV and conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, the driver was identified as 19-year-old Yousef Islmaeel Muhammad Alhajj, and a handgun was discovered in his waistband.

Officers then discovered that the found firearm had been reported stolen, so Alhajj was arrested and transported to the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office. On Tuesday, August 30th, Alhajj was transported to the Ouachita Correctional Center and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Firearm and Aggravated Obstruction.
