Moped pulled beneath tractor trailer after failure to yield

A man is dead after being pulled beneath a moving tractor trailer in North Carolina on Thursday. 

The accident happened on February 10th in Zebulon, North Carolina. 

According to WRAL News, a moped driver was driving along Earpsboro Road when they failed to stop at a stop sign intersection. The moped driver then crashed into the side of a moving tractor trailer and was pulled beneath the rig, breaking the moped into pieces and killing the motorist. 

The incident left debris strewn across the intersection and forced the closure of the area, which had a large impact on traffic in the area. 

The name of the moped driver has not been released and no other injuries were reported.
