Motorist dead after driver runs stop sign 

A man is dead after a semi truck ran a stop sign in Arkansas on Tuesday morning. 

The accident happened on June 14th at around 7:30 a.m. in Jonesboro, Arkansas. 

KAIT 8 News reports that a 2021 Freightliner ran a stop sign at the intersection of Kathleen and Prospect Road and collided with a 1997 Chevy Silverado heading west on Prospect. The force of the impact pushed the pickup into three other vehicles. 

The 62-year-old pickup driver, Joseph Vesley Jr., died at the scene. Next of kin were notified shortly after the accident. No further information has been released.
