Motorist responsible for Brent Spence Bridge tanker crash found with help of community

Published:

The motorist responsible for a crash involving a fuel tanker that temporarily shut down a bridge in Kentucky has been found thanks to tips called in by the community, police say.

The Covington Police Department reported that the car “collided with a semi-truck on I-75 southbound causing the truck to lose control and flip on its side blocking the interstate. The driver of the truck sustained injuries as a result of the collision and the interstate was completely closed for several hours.”

A dash cam video of the crash showed the car swerving in front of the truck and then driving away on southbound I-75 at around 11 p.m. on July 16th. The video appears to have since been removed.

On Thursday, July 21st a spokesperson for the police department announced “a big thank you to our folks in the community who sent in tips and called with information. When we work together, cases get solved!” reported Fox 19.

24-year-old Hunter Kuzak, of West Chester, has been charged with leaving the scene of a crash and failure to render aid or assistance.
