Shots were fired after a collision between a four wheeler and semi truck in Chicago early on Thursday morning.
The incident happened at around 3:30 a.m. in the 1000-block of South Desplaines Street in Chicago, Illinois.
According to ABC 7 News, a car crashed into a semi truck at an intersection. The noise from the collision prompted a 28-year-old with a concealed carry license to respond to the scene. Once there, the 28-year-old noticed that two people inside of the car were armed, and they soon fired shots in his direction. The man did not return fire.
Police responded to the scene, and both people inside of the wrecked car were transported to a nearby hospital with non life threatening injuries. The unnamed man who responded to the scene and the truck driver were not hurt in the incident.
Two weapons were recovered from the scene and the incident is still under investigation.
