One dead, one hurt, in shooting at North Carolina truck stop

Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at a Pilot truck stop in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Monday night.

The shooting was reported around 11:30 p.m. on October 3 at a Pilot store located off I-85 in north Charlotte.

A witness reported that an argument inside the store led to gunfire, according to WCNC.

When police arrived on the scene, they discovered two people suffering from gunshot wounds.

One of the gunshot victims died at the hospital early Tuesday morning.

The condition of the other person is unknown.

No arrests have been made at this time.
