Pickups, semi truck “entangled” at entrance to rest stop

Two pickup trucks and a semi truck collided at the entrance to a rest stop in Oregon on Wednesday morning.  

The accident happened on December 21st at 7:30 a.m. at the northbound rest stop at milepost 178 on I-5 in Lane County, Oregon. 

According to NBC 16, a semi truck, a white pickup, and a green pickup became “entangled” on the exit ramp leading to the rest stop. The white pickup sustained front end damage. Both pickup drivers and the trucker sustained minor injuries in the incident. 

The right lane of I-5 northbound near the rest stop was closed for around 20 minutes of the crash for investigation and cleanup. 

Road conditions were wet at the time of the crash, but no official reason behind the incident has been released.
