POLICE: Driver unhurt after blacking out at the wheel

A truck driver is unhurt after crashing into a utility pole after a possible blackout in Michigan on Thursday morning. 

The accident happened on December 1st at about 4 a.m. on southbound US-23 in Tyrone Township in Brighton, Michigan. 

According to WLX 10 News, the truck driver left the roadway, drove into a ditch, crossed Old US 23, and struck a utility pole. 

Police say the investigation is ongoing, but the driver either blacked out or fell asleep. The driver was not hurt in the incident. No further information has been released.
