Police find no evidence of shooting after motorist accuses trucker of firing shots 

Police determined that no shots were fired after a motorist reported that a trucker had shot at him. 

The motorist contacted police at around 4:25 a.m. on Friday, December 16th to report the alleged shooting. The motorist claimed that a truck driver had shot at him on the westbound side of Interstate 96 near Telegraph. 

According to Fox 2 Detroit, police shut down the freeway for an investigation, but determined that no one was hurt, no vehicles were struck, and no shots were fired. 

Police found the truck driver accused in the incident in the area of Middlebelt and Five Mile and spoke to the driver. 

Police deemed the situation a road rage incident and closed the case.
