A driver is dead after being crushed by his own semi at a Sam’s Club in Illinois on Wednesday morning.
The accident happened on February 9th at approximately 5:57 a.m. in Normal, Illinois.
According to Cities 929 News, police and firefighters were called to the Sam’s Club at 2151 Shepard Road after receiving reports of a man crushed between his tractor trailer and the loading dock. When personnel arrived they found the man to be deceased.
A preliminary autopsy determined that 51-year-old Allen D. Liesman died from traumatic compressional asphyxia caused by entrapment between the truck and the loading dock.
The incident is still under investigation and toxicology reports are pending.
