POLICE: Two wanted in connection with truck theft outside of recovery treatment center

Published:

Police are searching for two suspects in connection with a semi truck theft that occurred outside of a treatment and recovery facility already at the center of community concern.

Warrants for 43-year-old Ashli M. Landrum and 38-year-old Douglas W. Anglin were issued on Monday, October 31st in Graves County, Kentucky for charges of theft of the semi and criminal trespass. Both had previous warrants for unrelated crimes including theft and felony drug charges. The semi truck was stolen on October 28th from a farming operation on Old Dublin Road.

According to… a witness reported seeing a man and a woman near the rig just before it was reported stolen on Friday morning. By 1:30 p.m. that same day, police found the truck abandoned on the St. Jerome Church picnic ground in Fancy Farm. More witnesses reported seeing a man and a woman exit the truck before abandoning it.

Later that day, officers requested surveillance video from the nearby Recovery Works Treatment Center near where the truck was stolen and saw a man and a woman leaving the center after 7 a.m. and heading in  the direction of the semi truck.

Upon investigation, officers learned that the man and the woman had taken the truck, dumped it at the church, and then walked into a nearby business to use the phone to call family to come and get them. They were picked up 4 hours later.

Police believe the two are in Frankfort. The Recovery Works Treatment Center has been a concern in the surrounding community due to crime and other incidents for the past few years, Graves County Sheriffs have said.
