A portion of eastbound Interstate 610 is expected to be partially shut down after a 3 rig fire caused damage to the interstate.
The accident happened on Wednesday morning, February 16th in Houston, Texas.
According to ABC 13 News, three semi trucks, including one garbage truck and one fuel truck, were involved in an accident on I-610 North Loop at Wayside. Police say that the fuel truck experienced brake issues, which caused a second semi truck to swerve to avoid it. That swerve then caused a crash with a third big rig.
The force of the impact set all three trucks on fire, destroying them and even causing damage to the freeway as a result of the high heat. A highway sign was also rendered illegible after being scorched by the flames.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
Drivers are still urged to avoid the area as the eastbound lanes remain closed. Officials say that two eastbound lanes may be open sometime on Wednesday, but the rest of the lanes will likely remain closed as they are in need of repair.
