Puddle of concrete left on highway after semi collides with cement truck

A puddle of cement was left on a highway in Iowa on Monday afternoon after a collision between a tractor trailer and a cement truck. 

The accident happened at around 2:55 p.m. on March 7th in Marshalltown, Iowa. 

According to The Times-Republican, the semi truck collided with the rear of the cement truck near the intersection of Highway 30 and Hart Avenue, causing several tons of concrete to spill onto the roadway. The truck driver suffered non life threatening injuries as a result of the accident and was transported to a nearby hospital. The cement truck driver was not injured. 

Both vehicles were disabled as a result of the wreck, as a result the roadway was completely blocked as crews worked to remove the trucks and clear the tons of spilled cement. The Iowa State Patrol and the Iowa DOT Motor Vehicle Enforcement Department are investigating the incident.
