Reckless driver sparks pile-up crash that injured 13 people

Thirteen people were hurt in a crash caused by a reckless driver in North Carolina over the weekend. 

The incident happened on Saturday morning, July 30th in Four Oaks, North Carolina. 

According to WRAL News, a motorist was swerving through heavy traffic on Interstate 95 near Exit 93, causing another driver to slam on their brakes. This caused a series of mostly rear-end collisions involving five cars and one tractor trailer. 

The driver that caused the chain reaction crashes fled the scene, leaving several people injured. The injuries sustained in the incident were mostly minor. 

The incident caused traffic delays for several hours following the crashes. No further information has been released.
