A runaway semi truck blocked an intersection in Utah on Tuesday after overturning following an “equipment issue.”
The accident happened on May 17th at around 6 a.m. in Garden City, Utah.
According to ABC 4, the semi truck was traveling in the eastbound lanes of US Highway 89 approaching an intersection with Bear Lake Boulevard when the truck had an “equipment issue.” The driver attempted to turn left as they approached the intersection and could not stop, but the out of control truck overturned due to the high speed.
The truck ended up on its side blocking the intersection and nearby roads. The windshield popped out as a result of the incident, but a majority of the truck’s load of water bottles remained inside the partially cracked trailer.
No injuries were sustained in the wreck. No further information has been released.
