San Antonio Flying J destroyed in fire sparked at attached Denny’s

Published:

A Flying J in San Antonio was completely destroyed in a massive fire that started at the attached Denny’s restaurant on Thursday morning.

The incident occurred on December 1st at around 5:15 a.m. at the Denny’s attached to the Flying J in the 1800 block of North Foster Road, near I-10 in San Antonio, Texas.

According to My San Antonio, firefighters were unable to quench the flames, which were likely fueled by wind and grease in the Denny’s kitchen. The entire building, including both businesses, were destroyed and fire fighters were still letting the fire burn out though the metal roof as of 11 a.m. on Thursday.

All customers and employees inside of the building were able to get out unharmed. There were between 50 and 60 tractor trailers in the parking lot at the time of the fire, and all were in the process of leaving this morning.

The cause of the fire has not been released.
