A load of sauerkraut was spilled at a campground in New Jersey after a single semi truck wreck early on Tuesday.
The accident happened at 11:20 p.m. on December 6th near the Jersey Shore south of Piatt Township along Route 220.
According to The Williamsport Sun Gazette, the semi truck veered off the road and crashed down an embankment, splitting open the trailer and spilling the load of sauerkraut onto a private campground property.
The trucker was able to exit the truck himself, but was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Crews worked through the night to clear the sauerkraut, but stopped to allow traffic to flow at about 6:40 a.m. They are expected to return to the campground on Thursday to resume cleanup of the soggy foodstuff.
