Semi truck obliterated in wreck with SUV

Two people were hurt after a wreck between a semi truck and a motorist in Austin on Wednesday. 

The accident happened on December 28th in Austin, Texas just before 4:30 a.m. on southbound SH 130 near FM 973. 

According to Fox 7 Austin, both vehicles rolled over as a result of the collision. One person was pinned in their vehicle after the wreck and was rescued after 50 minutes. 

The truck driver was airlifted to the hospital and the motorist was transported by ambulance. Both were described as having serious but not life-threatening injuries. 

Cleanup of the incident took hours as crews worked to remove the semi truck’s load of rebar from the scene.
