A tractor trailer was torn apart in an accident with a sign support structure in New York on Monday morning.
The accident happened on December 19th at around 5:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of interstate 84 near mile marker 21.6 in Wallkill, New York.
According to News 12 The Bronx, the truck slammed into the metal scaffolding holding up highway signs, which ripped open the trailer and seriously damaged the cab of the truck.

It is unclear if the driver was hurt in the accident.
Cleanup of the incident led to traffic backups as far back as three miles from the crash site.
No further information has been released.
