Troopers in multiple states will join forces for a special enforcement effort over the weekend.
Starting at 12:01 a.m. Friday, February 18 through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, February 20, state police will take part in the annual “6-State Trooper Project” targeting driving violations on I-75, according to the Ohio State Patrol.
During the high-visibility enforcement effort, troopers will be focusing on speeding, seatbelt, and operating while under the influence violations.
Participating law enforcement agencies in this weekend’s 6-State Trooper Project effort include the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Kentucky State Police, and Michigan State Police.
Other members of the 6-State Trooper Project include Pennsylvania State Police, Indiana State Police, and the West Virginia State Police.
The 6-State Trooper project is a multi-state law enforcement partnership to promote highway safety, criminal patrol, and intelligence sharing.
