Skateboarder wipeout sends them skidding into semi truck 


A skateboarder was seriously injured in Pennsylvania on Tuesday evening when they lost control and crashed into the back of a semi truck. 

The accident happened on June 28th at 4:19 p.m. in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. 

According to Fox 43 News, the skateboarder was riding near S Main Street and E Queen Street when they lost control while crossing the intersection and struck the rear tandem axles of a passing semi truck. The skateboarder was seriously injured in the crash. 

Police investigation revealed that the skateboarder had illegally entered the roadway and was at fault for the incident. The skateboarder was transported to a nearby hospital and was later flown to a trauma center with non life threatening injuries. 

The Chambersburg Police Department has since reminded people that skateboards and bicycles are prohibited on sidewalks in the downtown area.
