Officials in Arizona have announced that a major commercial vehicle safety operation will take place this week.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS), the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Task Force (CVETF) will conduct a special enforcement operation in the Ehrenberg Port of Entry area on Tuesday, March 22nd, and Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022.
According to AZDPS, the operation will include I-10 from the California border to milepost 100.
During the two-day operation, CVETF troopers and officers will focus on commercial vehicle safety, including hours of service, vehicle weight, moving violations and more.
The CVETF was formed in December of 2021 and consists of AZDPS Commercial Vehicle Enforcement troopers and Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) Enforcement officers working together to streamline operations, support officer safety and enhance commercial vehicle enforcement at Arizona’s ports of entry on interstate and international borders.
