A stolen semi truck full of valuable metal wire was discovered on the side of a road in New Orleans this week.
The rig and metal wire was found on Old Gentilly Road in New Orleans, Louisiana.
According to ABC 2 News, police arrived at the scene to find 53-year-old Terry Woodside changing the VIN of the semi truck with the wire sitting nearby.
The stolen semi truck was valued at $125,000 and was stolen out of St. Helena Parish, while the flatbed trailer containing nine rolls of 7,000 pound aluminum wire was stolen out of Tangipahoa Parish. The wire is valued at $154,000.
Woodside was taken into custody and booked for possession of stolen property and removal or alteration of vehicle identifying numbers.
