The Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) says that a portion of eastbound I-80 west of Sidney is closed on Thursday morning due to crashes.
NSP announced the closure of eastbound I-80 in the western part of the state around 10 a.m. on December 8.
“Multiple Semi Trucks and cars have completely blocked interstate travel!! Please avoid the area and stop in Sidney or Kimball to prevent further crashes!” NSP said.

The closure is between Dix and Potter, between Exit 29 and Exit 38.
NSP is reporting slick conditions and several crashes in the area.
