An owl is “alive and well” after accidentally hitching a ride on the grill of a semi truck in Texas on Thursday.
The incident happened on January 20th in Georgetown, Texas.
According to KXAN, a semi truck was traveling south on Interstate 35 when it struck an owl. The concerned driver promptly pulled over to check out that damage, only to find the owl alive and still stuck in the grill of the rig.
The trucker then contacted police who responded to the scene and carefully removed the stunned owl from the truck grill. Despite the situation, the owl was apparently largely unharmed and flew away on its own after taking a few moments to recover from the shock.
“He (or she. beautiful regardless)…initially a bit confused, flew off. Alive and well!” tweeted the Georgetown Police Department.
