Suspect entered cab of parked semi and shot truck driver, Florida police say

A truck driver was seriously injured in an early morning shooting on Thursday in Jacksonville, Florida.

The shooting occurred shortly after midnight on November 3 in a grocery store parking lot on North Main Street in Jacksonville.

Jacksonville police say that a witness saw a person enter the cab of a semi truck parked in the lot. There was some sort of an altercation, then the witness heard shots fired. The suspect then reportedly fled.

News4Jax reports that the truck driver, a male in his 20s, suffered life-threatening injuries and has undergone surgery.
