TA truck stop in Texas gets Black Bear Diner restaurant

A popular restaurant franchise recently opened a diner in a Texas Travel Centers of America truck stop location.

Black Bear Diner, a restaurant chain specializing in comfort food, opened a new location in the TA travel center located off Exit 74 on I-40 in Amarillo, Texas, according to a November 18 news release.

This is the fifth Black Bear Diner location to open inside of a TA.

TA says that the new franchise-owned diner is a conversion build at an existing TA center.The new diner is located in a  5,398 square foot space and will seat 113 people.

The Black Bear Diner’s hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

“Texas remains a priority market for our expansion plans, and we are pleased by the continued positive responses we’ve received from our guests in these communities,” said Anita Adams, CEO of Black Bear Diner. “As for Amarillo, we are thrilled to bring our home-style, large-portioned comfort food to the city, as well as the professional drivers and motorists that frequent TravelCenters of America.”

Black Bear Diner was founded in California in 1995 and has grown to 151 diners in 14 states.
