Trailers destroyed at new trucking company in second fire this month

Published:

Four trailers were destroyed in a fire at a recently opened trucking company in Pennsylvania on Wednesday, making it the second fire at the location in less than a month.

The fire broke out at Estes Express Lines on Mahoning Drive on August 24th at around 7:30 p.m. The last fire at the same location happened on August 11th, and destroyed a building and several trailers. The Estes Express Lines location has only been open since July 11th, according to Times News Online.

Times News Online reports that the most recent fire consumed four trailers and took about two hours to contain. Employees still at work were evacuated from nearby buildings. No one, including fire personnel, was hurt in the incident.

The state police, fire marshall, and Mahoning Police Department are investigating.

“The important thing is nobody was hurt,” said Mahoning Valley Fire Chief Mark Ebbert.

“All the first responders worked well together.”
