A truck driver who lost control on an icy roadway struck overpass support pillars on I-94 in Barnes County, North Dakota, on Tuesday afternoon.
The crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. on November 15 at mile marker 272 on I-94 near Jamestown, North Dakota, as winter weather conditions made the roadway slick.
Troopers say that 36 year old Minnesota-based truck driver Habib Mohamud was eastbound on the interstate when he lost control, veering from shoulder to shoulder. The truck was moving south as it crashed through a guardrail, then it swung east, crashing into bridge support pillars with the trailer getting stuck on the bridge supports.
Mohamud was transported to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The crash is under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
