The Utah Highway Patrol (UHP) confirmed that a truck driver was killed after crashing through a concrete barrier and rolling down an embankment on Monday.

On Monday morning, UHP responded to a single vehicle crash SR-6 westbound at mile marker 135 in Spanish Fork Canyon.

According to KSL, a semi truck driver lost control as the road curved on a downhill grade, going off the right side of the roadway.

The truck hit and slid on a concrete barrier for hundreds of feet before rolling down an embankment and catching fire.

The truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
