Truck straddles both directions of I-35 after fiery crash that injured driver

A truck driver was seriously hurt in a crash that left his truck straddling both sides of Interstate 35 near Austin early on Tuesday. 

The accident happened just before 1:30 a.m. on September 20th north of Buda just outside of Austin, Texas. 

According to Fox 7 Austin, the tractor trailer was hauling food at 12600 south I-35 southbound near SH45 when it struck the concrete divider, overturned, and caught fire with half the rig on the northbound side and half on the southbound side. 

The reason behind the crash is not clear, but the truck driver was seriously injured in the wreck. They are expected to be okay, reported CBS Austin.

Traffic was still backed up in the area as of 10 a.m.
