A truck driver has been arrested for taking furniture out of a semi truck after being notified of mass layoffs at his company.
The truck driver was arrested at around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22nd on McCallister Rd in Monroe County, Mississippi.
According to Tippah News, 911 was called when truck driver Audrey Garth was seen removing furniture from his United Furniture truck in a way that seemed suspicious.
Deputies responded to the call and found the truck near the scene where the call originated and several pieces of furniture in a nearby parking lot.
Garth was taken into custody without incident and has been charged with Grand Larceny. United Furniture took possession of the furniture and truck. No further information has been released.
