Trucker killed by female driver while helping connect truck to trailer

A truck driver is dead after attempting to help a female driver connect to a trailer at a warehouse in Florida on Tuesday. 

The incident happened on November 29th in the parking lot of the Maxwell House Coffee Company Building in Downtown Jacksonville.

First Coast News reports that emergency crews were called to the scene at around 11:35 a.m. and found one male in his fifties dead. Police say that the female driver was backing up the truck as the male driver was directing her. At some point, the man got stuck between the truck and trailer and was crushed. No one else was hurt in the incident. 

“We are greatly saddened by the death… at the Kraft Heinz/Maxwell House plant in Jacksonville earlier today. Initial information is that this was an accident. We are fully cooperating with law enforcement in their investigation. We will provide more information when it is available, said a Kraft Heinz spokesperson in a statement.
