A truck driver was seriously injured in a chain reaction crash in Florida on Sunday morning.
The accident happened on July 24th at around 7:45 a.m. in Lakeland, Florida.
Florida highway Patrol reports that a semi truck was heading west on Interstate 4 when it failed to slow for stopped traffic. The rig then crashed into the back of another tractor trailer, pushing that truck into a pickup.
The driver of the first semi truck that failed to slow, a 32-year-old man from Greensboro, North Carolina, sustained serious injuries in the crash. Neither the other driver or the motorist were injured in the incident, reported Fox 13.
The crash closed the westbound lanes of I-4 for around three hours as crews worked to clear the wreckage. The incident was cleared at around 10:30 a.m. The current condition of the injured driver has not been released.
