A truck driver who admitted to murdering a model and dumping her body in the snow has been sentenced to a maximum of 80 years in prison.

30-year-old Tracy Ray Rollins Jr. of Dallas, Texas was sentenced to 40-80 years in prison on Monday, November 7th for the February 2021 murder of 47-year-old former model Rebecca Landrith.

Rollins pleaded guilty to third degree murder and 20 counts of abuse of a corpse in September. He received consecutive 20 to 40 year terms on the homicide and 1 to 2 years for each of the corpse abuse counts in accordance with the plea agreement, reported Penn Live.

Rollins did not speak during his sentencing, but chief public defender Brian Ulmer says that Rollins admits he did a “terrible thing” and is “willing to pay the price.”

Rollins never gave a reason for murdering the woman he had been traveling with.
