Trucking company evacuated for “multiple device” bomb threat

All is well after a reported bomb threat at a trucking company in Virginia forced the emergency evacuation of the facility. 

The incident happened on Sunday, March 27th at California Cartage Co. in Suffolk, Virginia.

Suffolk Police say that they were notified of the threat at around 3:55 p.m., when an unknown caller told authorities that “multiple devices were set to detonate” at the trucking company at 5 p.m. 

The facility was promptly evacuated and cleared by the Virginia State Police Area 5 K-9 Division. Occupants were allowed to return to the building by 6:15 p.m., reported WAVY News.

Officials say that the incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information can leave an anonymous tip by calling 1-888-LOCK-U-UP, downloading the P3 tips app to a mobile device, or visiting www.P3tips.com and submitting a tip.
